Welcome to Sleight Lab. These Terms of Use (« Terms ») govern your access to and use of the Sleight Lab application (the « App »), operated by Sleight Lab (« we, » « us, » or « our »). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. Description of Service Sleight Lab is a video recording and practice tool designed for magicians and performers. The App provides features such as an Auto-Loop camera engine, Studio Mode, and marker analysis to help users improve their technical skills and routines.
2. User Content and Local Storage Sleight Lab is a « local-first » application. This means:
Storage: All videos, images, markers, and notes you create within the App are stored locally on your device. We do not host, store, or back up your content on our servers.
Responsibility: You are solely responsible for managing your device’s storage and backing up your videos. We are not responsible for any loss of data, videos, or practice sessions resulting from device failure, app deletion, or operating system updates.
Ownership: You retain all ownership rights to the videos and content you create using the App.
3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions The App is free to download and offers premium features (such as Lifetime Pro) through In-App Purchases.
Billing: All purchases are processed and managed securely by Apple via your Apple ID account. We do not directly process or store your payment information.
Refunds: Because all transactions are processed by Apple, any request for a refund must be submitted directly to Apple Customer Support in accordance with Apple’s App Store policies.
Pricing: We reserve the right to modify the price of our In-App Purchases at any time, but any price changes will not affect past purchases (such as a Lifetime unlock).
4. Intellectual Property The App, including its original code, design, layout, graphics, and features (such as the Auto-Loop logic and Ghost Layer implementation), is owned by Sleight Lab and is protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our App or its underlying software.
5. Prohibited Conduct You agree not to use the App in any way that:
Violates any applicable law or regulation.
Attempts to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App.
Interferes with the proper functioning of the App.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties The App is provided on an « AS IS » and « AS AVAILABLE » basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the App’s reliability, accuracy, or compatibility with your specific device. We do not guarantee that the App will be entirely free of bugs or interruptions.
7. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sleight Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of the App.
8. Changes to These Terms We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide reasonable notice before any new terms take effect. By continuing to access or use our App after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
